Dear Readers,

Greetings to you from Puerto Vallarta where I am watching the sunset behind the Mariner of the Seas. It has been a lot of fun being on the inaugural West Coast sailing of this ship, it just relocated to California from Florida and we are happy to be part of this special occassion. However, the ship's electricity has not been kind to my laptop and it is dead, hopefully not fried, so here we are at the internet cafe outside the port. It is lovely to be in the warm weather when there is a flood at home, it looks like we have gotten pretty talented at knowing when to leave to avoid the cold weather in Northern California. Our backyard is literally flooded according to the neighbors and as long as they have things under control for us, we don't care. We have been in a drought but this should help things at home, we are still recovering from last summer's fires, the water is welcome. Well, as long as we don't have to be freezing in it at this moment. We can see the signs of spring coming soon and the weather down here in Mexico has been glorious. Don't feel too sorry for me for having to write to you when I could be outside, the door is open and I am in a summer dress. The ship is beautiful and we have met so many nice people.

Yesterday we were in Mazatlan and had a wonderful day at the beach. We took a ride around the streets of Stone Island after riding horses and were serenaded by our driver and his granddaughter. The day before we were in Cabo San Lucas where we took a glass bottom boat around the harbor and out to Lover's Key Beach and Los Arcos. Awesome! There has been this major mishap on this journey with my laptop and due to it this issue will be slightly different.

Unfortunately I can't access my files so the Eye Opener I had in progress won't reach you this time. Doug will be substituting of our favorite articles from last summer my collaborative effort on the Tarot with Salome and Indigo.There was so much information there, it is worth reading again or seeing for the first time if you missed it before. Just as I have been to these ports before there are things worth doing again. It was my distinct pleasure to meet Sharon Michelle and interview her as the March Psychic of the month. It is a wonderful interview with a lot of information. We included a lot from her newsletter, she has so much to share that we divided the article into two parts. It is a great read, you feel like you have known this wonderful lady forever! Each month, our editor, Selene, will contribute an informative article on a thought provoking topic. My personal journey with learning the tarot began rather unremarkably one day while grocery shopping at a big store with my then 3 year old son. We were in the toy department and I found a tarot deck there that I thought was pretty, it was one I had not seen before, the Morgan Greer tarot and I had wanted to get a deck of my own. I had recently divorced and was in a spiritual growth period. I was reading lots of books on metaphysics and had gotten back into studying Astrology yet again; it was not so easy in those pre-computer days. It was a time of seeking answers about my next step in life and of course, my next boyfriend and whether I could make enough money to survive on my own and take care of my son. I had gotten a couple of different readings recently and wasn't sure yet about the tarot. Sure it was interesting and I found it fascinating that the pictures could help you give a reading but it still seemed pretty mysterious to me. Then I was invited to a tarot party where a friend of a friend who was just starting to become a professional reader read for everyone for $5 each. It was so much better than the gypsy reader I had seen who said she was reading cards for me. I could tell she was not; she just looked at my hand and told me I had a curse put on me and my love life would never improve unless I paid her hundreds of dollars to pray for me and do a spiritual cleansing. It was not as easy back then to find genuine and ethical readers. I was filled with questions and needed lots of answers. I liked the deck I held in my hand, I decided to splurge and put them in my shopping cart.

When I got home I got the cards out and tried to do a reading with only the small booklet that came with the deck for reference. The interpretations were cryptic and did not seem to flow or give me the details I wanted. It was confusing rather than enlightening, I wanted to know more about how to get the cards to "speak" to me. I bought the classic tarot books by Eden Gray which were about all that was available in the early 1980s, they helped somewhat did not give practical advice on how to work with the cards. I practiced reading with them for while and although they seemed to be accurate; I was frustrated by not having more of a handle on it and set the cards aside for quite a few months. So this is exactly what I wanted to cover in this article, how you take those cards off the shelf and make them into a tool that will work with you and bring you guidance and clarity when you need it. Later I developed my own methods of working with the cards that really worked for me and helped me attain a level of proficiency and communication that I had wanted for so long. I will share with you some of my tips and methods of working with them. We'll cover some basics here, do get some books and do further research; this is meant to be an intro to get you working with your cards but is not intended to be a full course on tarot. Salome and Indigo were kind enough to each contribute some tricks, lessons and advice on how to get those cards working for you too. We hope this information helps you along your path in learning to work with the cards for yourself.

First step is selecting the right deck and some reference books to get you started. The Rider Waite tarot is the definitive set of images that can help you cross over to being able to read with almost any deck. It is good to get that deck and gain some familiarity with it, once you learn the basics about the Major and Minor Arcana you can cross over to other decks that are based on the Rider Waite deck. If this old classic is too boring or mundane, consider the Universal Waite deck which is a brighter colored slightly more modernized version of the classic. There are hundreds of interesting decks available now, learn this one and it will assist you with reading whatever other deck you feel drawn to. My personal favorite is the Cosmic Tarot; I also work extensively with the Daughter of the Moon and Osho Zen decks as well. Since there are so many decks available now seek out the ones that feel most interesting to you, the cards will let you know which tool is meant to be yours. Collect different decks for different types of readings, you will find that each one has a unique slant on the same question. My favorite tarot authors are Nancy Shavick and Mary K. Greer, their books helped me the most and I have also personally studied with both of these esteemed authors and teachers. I can not recommend them highly enough; again there are now thousands of books on the tarot available so find the ones that feel simplest to work with for you. Many decks now are packaged as a set with the deck and a book, a great way to start off.

Once you have the deck, it is important to work with them to put your own energetic imprint on them. Here are some of the ways that have worked for me. When you get a new deck, open them up and go through and look at each one in order, before you shuffle them, touch each card and just observe them. I also have used essential oils such as lavender or frankincense, just a tiny drop on my finger so that each card is anointed as I first touch and look at it. The oils help to imbue the spiritual energy of the flowers or resins they are made from and help enhance your personal connection to the cards. I also charge a small crystal to keep with my new deck and use it to help amplify my connection with the deck and hold it when I read. After looking at all the cards, shuffle them well and then divide them into parts separating the Major and Minor Arcana cards. Arcana means secret, the Major Arcana consists of 22 cards relating to the soul's journey through life starting with 0 or the Fool which represents the beginning and ending with 21 or the World which represents the completion of the journey or attainment of all desires. The Major Arcana represents archetypes and major events and aspects of our life's passages. The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. Each suit has cards numbered Ace through ten followed by the Court Cards: Princess, Knight, Queen and King. As you divide the deck into parts look at each card again taking mental note of symbols and colors, this is to get familiar with how each card looks, getting to know it so it can begin speaking to you. Take the time to look up the meaning for each card in the booklet given with the deck, it is usually a very brief description but will help you become aware of what each card means.

I suggest sleeping with the cards under your pillow for a least a week (a whole lunation cycle or month is even better) when you first get them and take them out and look at them all each day. In this way you will begin the connection to this deck of cards and help to transmute them into a personalized tool that you can use for personal insight and for helping others. A good way to study the cards is to do a daily 9th card reading, shuffle the deck and using your left hand, cut it into three stacks. Put the cards back together with the first stack you had set down on top, count down to the 9th card making this your card of the day. Read about this card in your books, meditate upon it and write about it in your tarot journal. A tarot journal is an excellent way to compile your own information, keep a page on each card for your personal interpretations or experiences as you get to know the energy of that card. Writing your readings down, what the question was, what cards came up and what you feel it meant at the time is a very good way to get that intuitive flow established where the cards will begin to tell you their stories and speak to you. These are some solid foundational ways of making a personal connection to the cards. Let's consult with Salome now and read the information she sent us to contribute to this article.

Salome:

The images in the Tarot tell a story that is both embedded in the universal mind and our DNA. We remember the archetypes the pictures depict because we have known them all along. We've lived them through lifetimes, from the beginning. This pertains to both the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. Don't be afraid of the Tarot because you already know it far better than you think you do.

Because the images in the Tarot tell a story we all know; it's good to begin reading doing it just that way. If you are reading for someone, start by telling them THEIR STORY. Pick a friend or family member. Shuffle and lay out the cards and then begin your reading. Tell them a story about them. For example, if I had someone I was instructing in Tarot, I would say, "Tell me a story about me". Begin with "Once upon a time Salome ..... or there was a lady named Salome who did such and such... or who was ...." and let it take off from there. You will be amazed at how accurate the story becomes. You will be amazed at the questors smiles and confirmations of the information as well.

This method works because the way to the knowing of the Tarot is through the imagination INTO insight (or intuiting). First you must relax and use your imagination, and then it follows a path along patterns (archetypes) you already know well. When you begin working with Tarot you are tapping into DNA and universal mind of which we are all conjoined.

Do not be afraid to goof up and make a mistake! This is how we learn. You will find after you get the hang of it; the words and images and hunches just start flowing. The more you practice the better you will get.

I would suggest using a basic 10 card Celtic Cross layout if you are new to reading, and also buying at least one Rider Waite Deck and reference book. Keep them handy if only for reference. You can choose any deck or decks that call to you. But do have the Rider Waite if only for reference.

Now for a few suggestions that may surprise you. As a professional reader I don't wrap my cards, ever! Unless, of course, I am traveling and then I do. I was taught to let my cards breathe! A lot of readers would not agree but I have found to keep them clearer its best, just like it is for us, to be able to have energy flowing in and out and about them. If you have children, of course, don't let them into them. Keep them up and out of the way. In certain situations yes, it's necessary to keep them out of sight out of mind but as a rule, no. They must breathe just like us.

Treat your cards as if they were both sacred and mundane. The best Tarot readers are always able to tap into both the sacred and the mundane and see them as one. They are able to understand the cards are both mundane tools and sacred archetypal patterns we can use to peer into any situation as needed.

Good way to learn the meanings is to shuffle the deck and cut (yes, you can use your left hand if you wish). Take the bottom half of the deck, and lay out 2 cards each for the week ahead for a total of 14. Put the first card down, and cross it with the second for day one, and so on until you have the whole week with two cards for each day. Write down the days, cards and meanings, then place the cards back in your deck. Put the paper with the information away for a week and then check it out after the week has gone by. See how close the meanings come to what actually transpired. Very easy way to learn Tarot!

Lastly, if you are to be proficient, plan on learning the Kabbalah. It's hard to understand at first but if you persist, you'll find it much easier to understand the stories of US. Robert Wang has a wonderful book on this called "Qabalistic Tarot". It's the best I've ever found through the years to help people who begin Tarot and Kabbalah. Yes, Qabalah really is spelled a lot of different ways and it's okay to use the spelling you prefer.

As you can see there are many ways to learn to work with Tarot and the way that is correct is the way that works best for you. In all of the information shared here, feel free to use what resonates with you and improvise. Much like an artist learns to communicate with color, shapes and visual appeal in order to create art, a tarot reader learns to communicate with the imagery in the cards. So learn the basics about the Major Arcana cards and what they mean; learn what each suit represents and what the various numbers mean to have a greater understanding of the Minor Arcana and the day to day issues covered in your readings. Of course the best way to learn something is to become immersed in it and make it a part of your daily life. The more you read, the better you will get at feeling confident about your interpretation of the cards. The suits of the Minor Arcana are: Wands ruling the Fire Element, the cards represent Action and Initiation; Cups rule the Water Element representing Emotions and Intuition, Swords rules the Element of Air representing communication and mental activities, Pentacles rules the Earth Element representing possessions and the physical. The Elements that show up in the reading are clues as to the answer of the question asked.

The more you use the Tarot the more you learn about how the different card combinations work together. Personally I do not work with reversals and suggest you just learn the upright meanings of the cards to start. It is much simpler to learn to interpret 78 different meanings rather than doubling that amount by including reversals. You can tell a lot about the meaning of the reading by looking at the cards together as a group and what each of them means. Once you feel you have learned the meanings of the cards right side up, you may feel ready to learn the individual meanings of reversed cards. In my readings, I determine the meaning by the surrounding cards and the ways they blend together based on the meaning for the position of each of the cards. If a card turns up reversed, I make mental note of it and take that into consideration but do not use a separate set of interpretations for reversed cards.

I also use the 11 card version of the traditional Celtic Cross spread. The additional card is the very first one drawn that represents the Significator or personality of the Querent regarding this question. I feel it adds additional insight that helps in the interpretation of the cards. So once you have shuffled and cut the cards lay them out in the Celtic Cross configuration and just take a look. See how the layout of the cards feels to you. Is there more Major or more Minor Arcana cards, if there are 5 or more Major Arcana cards this reading represents deep life changes. Check out the elemental balance of the reading and determine what aspects of day to day life are being covered for deeper insight. The patterns in the numbers and elements have a lot to do with the overall meaning of the reading. Ask the cards what they mean to you and what this reading is meant to convey to you. Validate the thoughts that come in to your head at this time, it is a way to synthesize the meanings of the individual cards so they work together to tell the story and interpret the meaning of the overall reading. Keeping that Tarot journal and recording your daily readings will take you a long way towards mastering the cards; it is also a great way to keep track of your emotions and mind set. I record the phases of the Moon, how I am feeling at the time of the reading and any other relevant information that will help me to remember later where things were at for me and how I was feeling at the time.

Here are some valuable tips for interpretation contributed by Indigo; she has included some very distinct information on analyzing the cards in the spread and determining timing and overall meaning of the reading. The methods she has developed allow her to quickly see the big picture and tune in to the overall meaning of the reading at a deep level.

Indigo:

I use a simple Celtic Cross plus 2 cards off to the side for basic readings and choose the cards in the spread that I feel will answer the questions the best. There are a few things I look for right away. If the Fool and Death card are in the same reading, this usually indicates a decision the querent has been putting off, and if the decision is not made pretty quickly, the decision will be made for the querent and he or she will have no say so in the decision.

Another thing I look for is court cards, Kings, Queens, Knights, and Pages. If there are 5 or more of these, this usually indicates to me that there are way too many people involved in the querent's business. If some of the court cards are reversed, the querent needs to look at the motives of the other people who are giving input on the situation.

There are 5 of each number 1 through 10 in the Tarot deck counting both the Minor and the Major Arcana cards. If I see 3 or more of the same number, I use the numerology for the reading as much as the meanings of individual cards. Most readers have a numerology system they use, and there are many to choose from. I advise new readers to adapt a system they are comfortable with.

Timing is one of the hardest things for a reader to pin down, I use several methods. The two I use most often are:

1. In the 12 card spread I use to do a short reading, the eleventh card is for timing. Wands is weeks, Pentacles is months, Cups is days, Swords mean the decision has not been made, and is dependent on other factors. A Court card in the eleventh position means that the decision will be made by someone other than the querent, and is currently being considered. A card from the Major Arcana means that there is some work, letting go of something or someone, or other spiritual work that needs to be done by the querent before that decision can be made. Look at the definition of the card in position 11 and 12 for more information.

2. If there is an Ace in position 6 through 10, it will be in a season, if the card is reversed, it will be in the last half of the season.

• Ace of Pentacles = Autumn
• Ace of Swords = Winter
• Ace of Wands = Summer
• Ace of Cups = Spring

I also look at the Aces in positions 6 through 10 for direction if the question includes "where" or "which way".

• Ace of Pentacles = North
• Ace of Cups = West
• Ace of Wands = South
• Ace of Swords = East

Ultimately with the Tarot as in any other study, practice makes perfect, the more you read , the more your cards will become a viable and valuable spiritual tool to assist you with finding your own answers. The secret to taking those cards off the shelf and putting them to work lies is working with them daily and devoting yourself to learning the meanings of the various cards and how different combinations work together to answer the questions. Another method I personally use to glean more insight after the initial Celtic Cross is to lay out rows of five cards from the rest of the deck in order. Each layer of five cards represents the energy of the following month. So for example if a relationship question is asked and the final outcome seems to be obscured, lay out those layers of cards and read each group of 5 as a single entity it will help you determine how things will play out if the energy continues to flow in the direction it has at the time of the reading. The first layer is the next month, second layer is the month following that and so on, this is particularly valuable in timing questions about a relationship.

Our Free Will Choice is always a determining factor in the final outcome of a reading, so use the information you receive in a neutral way. There are no absolutes and the cards merely indicate how things may turn out if we continue with how things have been. If we change our perspective we can change the ultimate outcome. Also in answering questions regarding anyone other than the Querent you are reading for, keep in mind that the information you pick up is based on the energy of the person who asked you since they are present or currently asking you. The Querent is your link to the information you receive regarding the person they are asking about so keep an open mind and be sure to point out to them that the interpretations you are receiving are based on their energy as your link or liaison to seek the answer to the question as asked. The more you read the more you understand, your friends will be glad to help you gain more practice, once you start that journey with the Tarot you will be amazed at how accurate your readings will become and how many people that will be interested in hearing what you have to say about their questions and concerns.

Sharon Michelle, a psychic at Psychic Access for over two years, has joined our greatest hits list by being selected as the Psychic of the month for a second time. Her first interview appeared in our August 2007 issue and gave much insight into her spiritual background and the NDE that triggered her to follow her professional path. This busy and productive long time resident of Galveston, Texas shares her first hand experience with the hurricane that devastated her area and the long slow process of rebuilding.

For several of my questions about current events, she quoted articles from the first two issues of her own highly informative newsletter "Shazam". There was so much information to share that I decided to divide this interview into two parts. The first part will cover her personal experiences and questions about her work, Part 2 will offer additional information from her newsletter. There is so much that Sharon Michelle has to share with you and teach you, take your time to read both parts and get to know her better.

Selene: Hello Sharon! It is so wonderful to meet you. Thank you for taking the time for us here at Psychic Times again. I understand a lot has happened in your life since your first interview. Please tell us about the Hurricane last fall and your experience with that, I can't imagine how frightening that must have been. How long were you without power after the Hurricane?

Sharon Michelle: We were completely without power for over a month. They were able to restore power in some areas quickly, but my area took a bit longer than some as all the power boxes were underwater so electricians had to come and replace and redo all the wiring, have the city inspect, and then the power companies could turn on the power. Electricians for both individuals and power companies came from all over the country to get the work done as quickly as possible. But not only was our city and island without power, so was most of the Greater Houston metroplex and close to half the State of Texas - which is a huge state!

One has to understand that virtually all of the infrastructure on the island was destroyed. The water treatment plants, the water mains that disseminate the water, all of the telephone switch points, electrical wires, cell phone towers, etc. were all taken out by the storm and ALL had to be replaced. It was close to two weeks before anyone was allowed back on the island even to look and longer before they could stay or get to work at cleanup which created even more damage to the water logged properties. But, the roads, yards, sidewalks, etc. were all covered with broken tree branches, boats, pieces of houses, rooftops, cars, personal belongings, etc. These had to be at least partially cleared before anyone was allowed on.

My roommate is a chef at the safest luxury hotel on the island so he had volunteered to stay. It took him several days to be able (even walking) to be able to get close to our home to access the damage because of the debris everywhere.

Even when our phone lines were restored, they were still not functioning fully or consistently until they were able to replace all of the equipment. That took nearly 4 months. So, many businesses are just now up and running again as they are dependent on their phones to conduct business. This includes myself.

I have lived on the island nearly 10 years. This storm was different than the others since I've been here. Always before, I was able to tune in and see where the storm was going and knew it was not going to affect me. I have been able to call every other storm and predict where it was headed and where the damage would be. This storm, however, was very confusing. I kept getting a swirling all over the place. Now, I understand that what I was getting was correct. The storm covered literally the entire Gulf Coast with its fury and went very far inland as well. Even people up in the Midwest were affected with its severe rain and wind. I was told my house would be safe and it was. The water took out everything underneath the house, my back porch and the electrical was flooded. But, the water missed the house itself by 2-3 inches so all inside was safe. Even my roof sustained minimal damage and no leaks. So, I was definitely lucky. Most of my neighbors and friends were not so lucky. They are having to completely redo their downstairs and some are having to rebuild entire homes.

The city has lost half its population, its two major employers, the two hospitals, and many of its small businesses. The downtown historic district looks like a ghost town but is being rebuilt. Most people are hoping this will be good for the island in the long run. This is certainly possible and one we hope for.

We did get a lot of help, but like the areas hit by Rita and Katrina the previous year, we don't feel the rest of the nation really understands or comprehends the depth of the damage. The media tends to sensationalize and then move on to the next event. Our city leaders also kept much of it under wraps and didn't allow much of the info into the news. We assume to protect the tourist industry on the island.

After the storm, the Gulf waters were unusually clean and clear for several months. 30% of the shrimp sold in the US comes from Galveston Bay so that will affect the price of shrimp as the reefs where they feed have been completely destroyed by the storm and will take several years to come back.

Gradually, the island is coming back as people rebuild. The attitude of the remaining people is great! They are staying positive and hopeful and rebuilding with trust that the city and the island will come back again even better. If by some miracle they pass gambling in the state this time around, the city and island will BOOM! Property values will skyrocket and money will flow back into the city again. This would be a much needed BOOST. But, that will be up to the rest of the state. So far, the strong Baptist coalition has kept it from passing. But, they did pass horseracing, dog racing, and the lottery one by one in the past few years. So, perhaps, we are close to time for casinos. Historically, there was gambling on the island until the 1960's. So, this is part of the Galveston tradition.

Selene: Do you feel that you and the residents of your area effectively received the help you deserved in this recent disaster?

Sharon Michelle: We did receive a lot of help. However, we were relying on the National Guard for water and ice and they pulled out long before our water was safe to drink and before we had electricity back everywhere. We felt they should have been there longer. The Red Cross stayed until pretty much everyone had had their electricity restored. This was very much needed as almost no restaurants were open and we couldn't cook and only a couple grocery stores were open. Then when they pulled out, the local churches and others from around the state stepped in to help with food and some water for a while.

The most difficult part was talking with people in other parts of the country who seemed completely unaware of what we were dealing with and thought, "The storm is over so life is back to normal again!" Wrong, it was far from being back to normal! It has been five months and it is just now where some of us can work and just begin to get back to normal. We are still overwhelmed with fixing up and repairs, and business losses and five months of no income. Nothing prepares you for the aftermath of a major Hurricane. Other types of storms are over and you get on with it. With a hurricane, it is very different. The flooding, the smell, and the destruction is far more severe and long lasting than other types of storms. You have to wait for things to dry out and the infrastructure to be rebuilt before you can even start to repair and rebuild.

Friends who have businesses that they are rebuilding have received SBA loans to help with this but they are given nothing to live on while their places of business are being rebuilt. So, how do they pay their mortgages, etc.? This should have been addressed too. But they are grateful for the help they are getting and doing their best to stay positive. There is a real spirit of help and camaraderie among neighbors and co-islanders.

Many people have left though and don't plan to come back. It is estimated that half our population is gone and most will probably not come back. Most can't come back as so many living quarters were destroyed.

Selene: What did you do to help yourself remain centered during this crisis?

Sharon Michelle: It was definitely overwhelming as there was so much to do. I stayed away as long as I could, knowing that once I returned, I would be unable to work for a while. It took much longer than I had anticipated. But, each day, I went through what had to be done and just tried to see what was most important and take care of that first. You just do what you can and what you can't do; you just wait until you can. You can't get upset, you have to just stay calm and take care of things one step at a time. Mostly, I was very, very, grateful that my home, my sentimental belongings, my cat, my family, and myself were all in one piece.

Selene: With so much going on for everyone, what do you recommend as advice or ways of coping with the current problems? How can you best advise your clients on what they can do to remain calm and take care of what they need do to survive and thrive in difficult times?

Sharon Michelle: You can not dwell on the things you can do nothing about. You have to stay focused on what you can do and then just do them one step at a time while staying grateful for the little things - like you still have your life, etc. Being faced with this kind of tragedy makes one realize what really matters in life and that is your relationships and your peace of mind.

Selene: Please explain more about what Star Seed means and how your work on those levels can assist others?

Sharon Michelle: Before I started channeling, I was drawn to Brad Steiger's writing about Star People otherwise known as Starseed. I was very intrigued by the idea that some of us had original incarnations on other planets and some of us had original incarnations here on earth. Some see this represented in the Biblical representations of the Children of God and the Children of Men. The Children of God were those who came from the Stars. Every ancient religion has references to this event and references to the intermarrying of these two groups - the marriages between Gods and mortals. It was an intriguing idea and a plausible one as a student of ancient history, philosophies, and religions.

Then, when I actually started doing some channeling myself, I was told in one of the early ones that I was indeed a Starseed myself and so were a few of my closest associates who originally came to this planet during its earliest incarnations to work as priestesses and guides to help others. This was not something I was really expecting to hear as I had viewed this previously as a concept and not as a fact.

Since then I have come to accept the information as valid. My guides tell me that the purpose for us being here is to ensure that creativity and freedom are kept alive on our planet. I was told that there were many here who seek to enslave the masses and stifle and control their thoughts and use them for their selfish purposes. It was only through carefully protecting freedom and creativity that we would be able to continue to evolve on a spiritual path and create a better world for our children. We are to encourage creative thought in ourselves and our children. There is no problem or situation that exists that does not have a solution or an answer found within ourselves as long as we keep the creative process healthy. It is through creativity that we are able to resolve conflict and problems, that we can find solutions through inventions and technology, and that we can make the world and ourselves more beautiful in form, sound, energy, and spirit.

Selene: Can you tell me who is a Star Seed or how one knows if they are? I have heard that some sages feel President Obama is a Star Seed. Do you agree with that? Why or why not?

Sharon Michelle: In my MYSPACE blog STARSEED Chronicles, I have included a questionnaire with a number of attributes that those who feel they are Starseeds have in common. One of them is a rare blood type.

There are many different names given to a group of entities who have elected to come to this planet at this time to help usher in the coming earth and societal changes. Some are called Starseed, some are called Indigos, some are called Walk-ins, and now some are being called Crystals. Personally, I feel they are all very similar and perhaps all belong to the same soul group. What separates them from the rest of humanity is their sense of purpose and destiny to SERVE! Some feel this group of souls could be more enlightened. Perhaps this is true, perhaps not. We are all HUMAN! But, they do all have strong motivations to SERVE humanity and to make this world a better place for all in whatever way they can. EACH has their own talents and ways of doing things to bring this about.

To answer the question, "Is Obama a starseed?" Yes, he probably is. People who are STARSEEDS, AND WALK-INS are unusually charismatic. There is a light around them that is obvious to everyone who sees them. People are drawn to them in a way they are not to others. People stare at them and try to make them into idols to look up to. They have a higher purpose in life, they want to do for humanity but they are also human. Never forget that. Obama has these attributes and is an INDIGO. So, yes, he probably is a STARSEED as well. He certainly fits the criteria. Both Starseeds and Walk-ins have an unusual glow about them that other people are drawn to and find irresistible.

Selene: Thanks for that enlightening answer. It sounds like you are studying many subjects. Is there a book or two in the works at this time?

Sharon Michelle: Yes, I actually have several books that I am hoping to get written in the next couple of years. One is on Tarot. I didn't learn to read Tarot like most people did. I never took classes and never studied from a book. I was led to get a Tarot deck and would be awakened at night by my hands vibrating and pulsing with energy. I was instructed by Spirit to get up and get the cards which I did. Then I would be instructed how to lay them out and what the various combinations/symbols/placements etc. meant. In the beginning it was very curious and fascinating as the messages I was being given were played out in reality. After a while I started reading for friends, their friends, until there were so many I had to start charging. But because Spirit taught me, I have my own method and way of doing it that is different than most. The great thing about it is that it is transferable. I have been able to teach this same method to others and many of them have in turn have become great accurate readers as well. I have been advised that knowledge is given in order to be shared.

One book I have had in mind for years is about a previous life that I have vivid memories of. This one could be written more than one way. It could be a civil war romance or it could be about my search and the verification of my past life memories which have been borne out to have really happened.

But probably the first will be the book about AURAS that I am currently working on. I don't see auras like some people do, but, my grandson does. However, I do feel auras and sense the colors and other vibrations that are there. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can pick up from the aura. It is about so much more than just colors.

One day, my grandson was visiting and overheard me talking with someone about auras. When my conversation was over, he shared with me that he could see auras. But, he hadn't realized what they were. He sees the colors in vivid detail, he thought everyone did, and didn't realize the colors meant anything.

When I started putting some material together for him, I decided that should be my first book - AURAS. So, in the meantime, I have just asked him to try and notice the colors around different people and see how they relate to that person and others with the same colors. So, some things I am actually learning from him. He is almost 12 now. He tells me that most of his classmates have blue or green auras predominantly. Some are predominantly yellow/gold and a very few are indigo or silver and/or white. Only a few have the colors that are considered truly negative. So this is very promising to me as to the future of our young people - that the colors surrounding the children are mostly positive colors.

He was frustrated that he couldn't see his own aura so wanted to know what color his was predominantly. That was easy, Indigo. He wasn't at all surprised when I told him. He is a typical Indigo, wise beyond his years.

In my own work the past couple of years, I am doing what I call Aura Scans. It is amazing what can be picked up in people's auras. It goes way beyond the colors. It shows what energies are being drawn to them, what events are getting ready to take place in their lives, what areas of the physical body have less light - indicating a health concern that should be addressed, recent events in their life, and whether they various chakras and psychic centers are open or closed or blocked and whether their energy is flowing smoothly or has blockages interfering. Often all it takes for correction is to stimulate the auric field to start flowing smoothly again.

Recently, I have even started scanning auras online and have found that distance does not interfere in the process. In the case of one woman, when I scanned the missing person she was asking about, it confirmed to her the location where they believed the missing person was located was indeed accurate.

This past month, I recognized that a regular client's third eye was suddenly wide open which let me know she had just had a near death experience. She wasn't even aware of what had happened to her as she had blocked it. But, when I kept pressing her, insisting something had to have happened recently to bring about this change; she finally remembered and shared her terrifying experience with me. She was spared and given these new abilities to share and help others. Since her experience she has been able to communicate easily with people who have passed over. Like most of those who have had an NDE, she was scared and blocking it. She didn't recognize it for the GIFT it was. Now, that she realizes, she has begun accepting the GIFT and eventually when she becomes more comfortable with it, she will find a way to use it for the benefit of others.

Selene: I feel compelled to ask this one, what are your secrets for looking so youthful and beautiful?

Sharon Michelle: I don't really have any secrets in this area other than I do try to eat healthy and have been lucky to have great youthful genes from my mother's family. Keeping a positive attitude also makes a great difference. Keep smiling as they say!

Selene: What have you learned from the changes in your life since your first interview?

Sharon Michelle: It seems to me I was originally interviewed right after I started doing my work online. Initially, I was a bit scared. After all, I was taking a very big leap of faith in leaving my successful real estate career to work full time in this business. Even though I have had a lot of success, recognition and accomplishment in this field for many years, it was still unnerving leaving the other behind. Interesting, an associate of mine in Houston who reads palms looked at mine right after I made the decision. He said that I had spent my life with two major careers running side by side. But, that now I was at a crossroads and would have to choose as I could no longer do both. I let him know that I had indeed just made that choice.

It was a wise decision that I made. Scary, but it was guided. I had been doing an affirmation that I would always be protected and guided and make only correct choices and decisions followed by Divine Right Action. That affirmation is what gave me the courage and confidence to make the choices I made. I do feel I was guided to do so. It has worked out for me. When I made the decision, I felt comfortable with it and knew it was right. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

So, I am continuing on with that path. I have been learning more about the internet and how to use it to further what I am trying to do. Each month I learn more. My readings online, of course, are giving me the means/necessary income to pursue the other work. My brochure is finally done, and now the newsletters and blogs are in place.

Back in the 80's, I did a lot of teaching, seminars, classes, etc. in various aspects of metaphysical work. What I am being told is that this method of sharing information is great, but that I need to do something at this time to reach and educate and share information with a larger number of people. The way to do this is through books, articles and the internet. This is the purpose for building the web presence. More people need to be reached and more people are hungry for information than there are teachers teaching.

While doing individual readings and helping with the much needed insight for individuals, I am just as focused on sharing methods with them that help to transform their lives on a much deeper and more lasting basis. This is being done through their readings and through the many articles, newsletters, emails, etc. that are being shared with them. My goal is to provide them with a full life enhancing service.

Selene: You do a lot of fairs and expos, how is that working out for you these days?

Sharon Michelle: The Fairs are working well and have always been a great marketing avenue for myself. Now that I have my newsletter in place, my practice is growing even more. Just this week, I have been in the Dallas area networking and there will be more opportunities for conferences and fairs here and in other areas in the future. It is just one more way of promoting my practice and building a market for what I offer.

Selene: How long have you been working on Psychic Access now and how are things going for you there?

Sharon Michelle: I have been on Psychic Access for two years now and my clientele there has been very stable most of the time. I have a number of regular loyal clients and more new ones each month. This past year, we went international. Recently, I have noticed that at least half the new calls/clients I am getting are coming from other countries around the globe. So this expansion to international is definitely working. The site is growing steadily and unlike some, we have caring interaction with the owners who seem to care about our needs and requirements as well as their need to run a business. These are refreshing attributes to see in a business in today's world.

Selene: You have so many projects and interests, how do you keep up with them all?

Sharon Michelle: It isn't always easy. Like with other things, I just have to decide what the priority is each day and try to get that done or at least make progress on it. With so much to learn and having to teach myself much of it, it takes dedication to stick with it. I have to keep my goal of what I am trying to accomplish in mind at all times. The Hurricane put me behind a bit, but I am getting there. I focus on what I am getting done rather than what I'm not. I focus on what is working and not on what isn't working.

Getting hired online and building my clientele was of course the first priority to get started. Next was developing the marketing pieces both for my local private practice and for online. The first blog I did on Blogger was the initial step toward getting a newsletter together. Then Doug asked us to do some Myspace pages. That was another learning experience and just another step on the journey to a newsletter, web presence and sharing information. At first I resisted as it meant learning another something new. But, once I got into it, I found it was really a lot of fun and I could express my creative side as well as develop a marketing tool. That eventually led to my first webpage: www.BestWebPsychics which is an affiliate page for Psychic Access and still a work in progress. There will be more of that in the future, too. And of course articles that I am writing for the newsletter will also be shared with the blogs. The several books that I am working on will also be shared initially as e-books through the internet, and later I will be offering some classes via the internet medium. I have a goal each month on how much I have to work and earn and the rest of the time, I focus on the various projects one at a time. Sometimes, I get frustrated thinking it is taking too long to get everything together, but then, I look back and realize that I really have put a lot together so far. It truly is coming together and the response from clients has been terrific.

Selene: Anything else you would like to share or teach us?

Sharon Michelle: Just to try to live within the flow and allow your life circumstances to flow into the next one naturally. It will if you allow it. It will do it at the right time and the right place. I sincerely believe that we are all guided to make the right choices at the right time for our particular path if only we pay attention to the little signs. This doesn't mean to micro-manage and control everything around us. It means to stay relaxed and just keep going knowing that you are always guided.

Selene: Please tell us more about your newsletter. I read the first two issues and it is awesome! Where did the name Shazam come from?

Sharon Michelle: Originally, when I came up with the name, SHAZAM, it was for my business name. Part of it was with numerology to bring good energy with it. Part of it was the first three letters of my name. Then when I had a block as to what the rest should be - Spirit gave me Shazam! It brings to mind the rubbing Aladdin's Lamp and saying Shazam and getting a blast of magic and light before the manifestation of your wishes. I hope that "Shazam" can be a similar blast of light and magic for those who read the info and insight that I am sharing with them.

Selene: I loved your article on 2009 in the December issue. Could you share some of that information with us?

Sharon Michelle: This year of 2009 reduces down to 2 + 9 which adds up to a master number of 11. Our President's birthday also reduces down to this same 2 + 9 master number of 11. Barak Obama contains 11 letters which consist of 5 vowels and 6 consonants.

2009 will be a very significant year and the start of a major transition leading up to 2012... Mankind will be forced to grow and learn the true meaning of what it means to be human and to be part of a universal collective of people. It is a time for the nation and the world to learn to work together as a whole. It is a time for people to learn about adaptability, consideration and service to others. 2009 could be a year where mutual cooperation can be enhanced by a spirit of humanitarianism. 2009 marks the beginning of a subtle and very spiritual awakening of the world to the realization that we are all one. The 11 number symbolizes the strength of diplomacy, sensitivity and feminine power. Tolerance and understanding of people's differences will be needed to heal the deep rifts that have taken place in recent years separating us through religion, economics, opportunity and geography.

There will be a collapse of many of the old ways of doing things - both personally and globally. We will see a lot of endings of political and monetary systems that are no longer working. It is a time of passing and completion of the old and a time of hope and bright new beginnings which usher in a new world consciousness of care and concern for the world around us. This includes the physical world as well as all inhabitants of this world; be they plant, animal or human. Wrongs will be made right, with great strides made toward creating more balance in the world. The feminine energies at work will bring more creative solutions to the world's problems.

Since this is a year of cooperation, there will be more talk of peace, there will be an increased interest in spirituality and more coming together as a world body to preserve and protect our natural resources.

Selene: Would you share your insight into the current changes occurring now, particularly regarding the economic crisis?

Sharon Michelle: To answer this, I am inserting the article from my January 2009 Newsletter: CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU!

"We are going to have a lot of changes in this country that are way over due. We have lost most of our liberties and our economic security because of the policies that have been in place. They have been slowly whittled away since the Reagan years with more leaving every administration since. It is no accident that both parties ran for election on a platform for change!

Think how different our world is from the pre-revolutionary or civil war days because of progressive thinking and technology. Change is here and it will happen. People have to accept the change and work together to fix the problems and change their outmoded thinking. Things are going to change with or without them.

With Uranus involved, the quicker the changes are adapted to, the easier things go. The more resistance is put up by the old guard, the more difficult it will be. Regardless, the change is here and will happen no matter whom is in office. With the particular aspects going on, it is the old guard, the old business leaders, the old politicians, etc. that are going to have to change and let go - just as the King of England had to let go during our American Revolution. Try and see the changes as a period of HOPE and not strife. It can feel scary but KNOW that you will be fine.

I read for people all over the world now and the feeling of hope that everyone has is both overwhelming and uplifting to hear. When I read for them, I am not seeing doom and gloom and economic disaster. I am seeing a freeing up and leaving behind of the devastation of the last few years. I am seeing improvements for them with their relationships, their jobs, finances, etc.

This indicates to me that the direction of the entire country will be the same-forward. With the major Aquarian influence present during this month's Presidential Inauguration; the nation and YOU have a chance to be part of the change. Use the blast of Aquarian energies present during this month's Presidential Inauguration, to bring about much needed change in your own life. The nation and YOU have an unprecedented opportunity to be a catalyst for change in your life, your community and globally.

Accept your own challenge to bring change. Our leaders are looking at all of us to do our part in bringing this overdo change into reality. Things are going to change. View it with a sense of excitement not fear!"

Selene: In the second issue your article The USA - It's Karma and Destiny Revealed went into detail about the USA's chart, the recent inauguration with the stellium of planets in Aquarius and changes we are experiencing now. That was fascinating, can you explain a bit of that to our readers?

Sharon Michelle: I will again refer back to the January issue of SHAZAM to answer this question:

"It was no accident that the candidates for both political parties ran on platforms promoting change. This particular election could have had nothing else.

With an elected Aquarius rising President being inaugurated on an Aquarius New Moon in the Sun sign of Aquarius closely followed by a major solar eclipse conjunct a stellium of planets in Aquarius, the U.S. is getting a jolt of energy unlike any it has seen since it's Civil War and the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

This election has major ramifications when you consider the Uranus/Saturn opposition taking place at the same time. This particular astrological aspect was in place during our Revolution from England. It was in place during the invention of the cotton gin which created a market for slave labor. It was again in affect during our Civil War and the invention of the steam engine which many believe to also coincide with the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. It happened again in the 1960's when many of America's young revolted against the draft, Vietnam, and of course the Civil Rights Movement. Now we have this aspect again. Throughout America's history, rebellion, change, and HOPE for a better way of doing things coincided with this planetary alignment.

The second oath of office which took place at 7:35 PM on January 21, 2009 gives an inaugural chart with 0 degrees of Virgo on the 1st House Cusp. This indicates that the theme of this inauguration will be one of service and that it will be welcomed by both our friends and enemies with favor. The Sun/Jupiter conjunction on the 6th House cusp reinforces even further the theme of service and humanitarian effort. Since this is also the house to rule medical, we can expect some positive change here with our hospital, medical, and medical insurance situation with some real attention and progress toward Universal Health Care for everyone and an overall revamping of our medical system. Healthcare issues for all will once again be in the spotlight with the Sun/Jupiter conjunction on the 6th Cusp. Another possibility here is for there to be more fairness in the workplace and protection for workers.

With Venus and Uranus both passing over into the 8th House and opposing a retrograde Saturn on the cusp of the 2nd House, we can expect major favorable economic changes to be taking place this year. Also indicated will be fewer perks outside the workplace for top executives as extra frills and expenditures are toned down considerably. With three Capricorn planets in the 5th House, this is the area where there will be a lot of cutbacks. Not as much play at this time. Many hobbies and avocations will become jobs and businesses for some as their traditional jobs end.

With Uranus and Pluto transiting equi-distance from the Ascendant, this administration will definitely be bringing major transformation and change to the nation. Back to the US chart shown above left, there is currently a stellium in the 3rd House indicating a revolution in technology, learning, and ways of thinking and communicating. As these planets begin to move into the 4th House, more focus will be placed on the problems within the housing industry and within a year or so, we will start seeing some signs of recovery followed by the rest of the economy bouncing back. The foundations of our country will be re-established.

Another thought to consider with the stellium of planets in Aquarius at the time of the election is their location in the 3rd going into the 4th or the house of completion. Could it be that we have the potential at this time to complete the karma begun when our country was established to give freedom and equality to all its citizens? Are we now being given the opportunity to once again put into action the ideals of our founding fathers?"

Selene: In your newsletter you present the teachings of Kryon and other channeled information. Do you also channel? What warnings or advice would you have for our readers or your students who want to channel?

Sharon Michelle: My original intent is to offer my own channeled information through the newsletter and online. My guides have instructed me to do this regularly. But, since I have been so busy with the aftermath of the storm, working, and laying the foundation for these various publications, I have not had the time to sit down and do my own channeling at this time. I felt since there are so many great channelers already out there doing this, that I would share some of these people and their websites with my readers/clients so that they could get familiar with them. The messages are virtually the same but in different words and venues for each channeler. All are great and have a great message to share. We are not in competition with each other. We each have our way of sharing the message.

Later, when more of my personal business goals are in place and running on auto pilot, I can devote more time to my own channeling. My goal is to share information and inspiration whether it is my own or that of others as long as there is validity there.

Kylie Minogue got her lucky break almost 20 years ago with the above song. 40 years ago, Elvis Presley asked his girlfriend to be his Good Luck Charm. Much earlier, Frank Sinatra asked that Luck be A Lady tonight. A hundred years earlier still, it was hardly ever called luck but rather chance or hazard. Back in a more religious age, good fortune was attributed to divine approval of one's efforts or one's character. Only with the arrival of Darwin in 1857 do we get blind chance seeking election to the highest office in the universe, and only with full on dogmatic materialism do we get the rise of the idea of luck as something distinct from chance.

Chance is scientific, statistical and mathematical. Luck is superstitious, capricious and susceptible to manipulation by prayer, talismans, amulets and ritual. The statistical laws of chance extend out to cover straight luck. For example, the chances of a red number coming up once on a roulette wheel are around 45%. The chances of it happening twice in a row are 45% of 45%, around 22% or roughly 1 in 5. So if you place 10 sequential bets on the red, you have nearly an even chance of being right every time but almost no chance at all of being right all ten times. Suppose the first 3 times it comes up red. What statistics tells you to do now is quit because the chances of 4 in a row are so low, but what your gut tells you is that every turn has a 45% chance of turning out red so you bet again. If you bet all your accumulated winnings and it turns out black or zero, you lose all; but if you bet the same stake each time, then your previous winnings stay intact. You can gamble smart or you can gamble stupid.

It's usually stupid to expect either good luck or bad luck to carry on for a long time. When you reckon you've found an example of long strings of bad luck, like floods in Bangladesh, stock markets sinking as if through quicksand, or like keeping on losing lovers, it's not luck or chance at all. It's geography and climate for the first case, crowd psychology for the second and unrealistic demands or expectations for the third.

For most of us, it's quite a good idea to create a bit of luck for others, not to get their gratitude but rather to understand how luck gets manufactured so you get smarter at spotting luck factories in life. I'm not talking about genetic luck, or the luck of setting ourselves a nice and happy script before we incarnated, nor about having supportive parents that gave us a sunny disposition which in turn attracts benevolence from others throughout life. We cannot do much now about those original endowments. Like with cards, if we're not dealt a good hand, we can improve our luck by playing carefully and knowing our rivals' style well enough not to take high risks with them. Good to learn to smile when greeting people, to call people by name like they do on TV and to assume most people prefer you to listen to them than for them to have to listen to you. In other words, no matter how bitter and cynical you may feel, if you would like to improve your luck, then you better act as if service with a smile was your deepest belief. You have a nice day now, you hear.

Dear Sharlene,

What the guides indicate, as far as your getting back together with your ex, is that's something that is better not to happen. That was not the best relationship for either of you. You did not have the room to grow as a person in that relationship and it feels as if there were alot of walls that kept you closed in. Sometimes the guides take us in directions we do not really feel at the time are good for us but find out later that they were for the best. In the summer months I do see someone coming into your life. This looks like July and I am getting a JJJ sound to his name. Justin, Joshua, Jonathan. He looks to be a rather tall man and thin built. Blonde to light brown hair and blue or green eyes it is possible that his eyes change colors as the guides are showing me two. This feels like a definite long term potential for you both and seems to come out of nowhere. You will not be looking, it will just kind of happen. The guides indicate that this will be something that you have been waiting for some time. It does feel as if he is a few years younger then you as well but good with children,. So Sharlene, be sure to be open and accepting of all new people and places so that the guides can bring this to you.

Grokking You

This month, as promised, I am going to teach you a really easy technique for reading your own thoughts. You will awaken and remember your true self. Life will start to look pretty good again.

We are going to grok along with the universe. Grok is a slang term first used by Robert A. Heinlein in his book, Stranger in a Strange Land. It means to understand profoundly through intuition or empathy.

The way to do this is by making a personal and private 'quality list'. It's a very quick and painless method for bringing opportunities and much, much, much luck into your life. You simply keep a notebook at home and in your car/work so you can jot down ideas and things as they surface in your mind during the day of things you really like or liked. Accessing good memories and listing them attracts to you what you most need and desire. Grokking by making a 'quality list' is a simple thing to do, but it puts you in sync with your soul. Few people realize, but from lifetime to lifetime, there are events we lived which vibrate to even greater experiences in succeeding lives. So many people focus on what it was about a past life that hurt them, and thus it seems, life grinds to a halt or doesn't work as they wish. Seldom do they ask what was really good about a past life or lives. This technique we shall discuss, reaches back through our lives and pulls the good things, events and memories forward. Suddenly we begin to vibrate to the positive and attract more good to us. The Wheels of Life start to move again.

What is it that makes your heart sing, your eyes dance, and makes you happy? What strums your heart is tied in with emotions, and memories? In the I Ching, it's hexagram number 58 which means encouragement, or the joyous lake. It can be tied in with home, family or anything which brings us a big smile! Making a 'quality list' and grokking with the universe brings new beginnings and new found purpose to our lives.

This is the energy of happiness. The Minor Arcana 6 of Cups Tarot card, which is basically defined as happiness, symbolizes this exact energy. What do you already know and wish would return so you could live the moment again? What really makes you happy? You know that feeling well and when you notice your heart strumming, make a note of it on your quality list.

So why a list? Because if I suddenly said, "You have three seconds to name three things that totally move you, or three events or happenings last week that stirred you!", you would draw a blank. But... if I handed you a notepad and told you to take 2 weeks and track what trips your trigger, or blows your hair back, etc. you'd come up with quite a few within that 2 week time period. It's pretty certain you'd have associations come to you during that time that you hadn't thought of for years. The nicest part of making a list or grokking along with the universe is that the universe begins to help you out with the adventure! Add a note or two to your list and wham, zip, boom, the universe assists you to remember even more. Soon you're in the theta zone and your creativity is in full bloom. Your senses are sharp, you are aware and good events happening in the now will say "notice me"!

This remembering vibration is what makes us open to hope. I hear people say "Oh I made my quality list! I grokked and I remembered! I forgot how much I loved a certain old song! That new perfume my girlfriend is wearing really makes me feel good. I think my favorite aunt used to wear a that scent. Or.. I remember how much fun my buddies and I had way back when. My best friend always had a pack of Juicy Fruit gum in his pocket to share! When these memories come up I hearken back to happier times". We become old softies and just glow inside with the memories of good times, when life wasn't so hard, or sad. We grok, we make a 'quality list' of us, for us. The universe says, "Let's go theta. Here is more just like that! Enjoy and create". Theta is where deep learning occurs. Theta is also where you tap into gifts, access guidance, and learn holistically. We can see where everything relates to everything else, only this time we know how to connect the dots productively. We can do more than what we ever dreamed.

The 'quality list' technique puts you in a state where the energy flows to you. It attracts what honestly serves you, what turns you on, what really trips your trigger. It's daydreaming put to paper in a moment of true emotion. It's far memory, with a plus of having meat on it's bones. This is something that can really nourish you and make you grow strong and wise, again. You see, you were always wise, you've always known, but perhaps forgot this was so. This technique helps you remember and starts the dream again so you can create your life consciously.

Now lets go into the nuts and bolts of this. It's called a QUALITY LIST because it does have the potential to change the quality of your life for the better. Soon you and the universe will be grokking back and forth with one another like old friends, and you will feel like you have finally tapped into life's action.

You will need two notebooks, one small one to carry with you in your purse or car, another bigger one to keep at home. Buy them brand new. Head to your local 5 and dime and invest. It's important that you only keep these notebooks for this specific purpose only. Yes, you will do this again, when you choose, once you know it works. I'm not actually sure how many times I've done this, but I can testify it's been many times. The technique never fails to get my creativity jump started. It will yours too!

As you go about your day and something comes up that you like or admire, or remember, quickly jot that down in one of your notebooks. Do this for two weeks. Make an honest effort to just write something down. Be brief. This list is for your eyes only. No, you do not have to make the two notebook lists match. The important thing is you jot the ideas down as they come. Do not make it elaborate. Just the name of a song that comes on, the lunch you ate that really was marvelous. The compliment someone paid you. A funny story you heard, or suddenly remember. Try just using only three words, or less, to describe, no more. You aren't doing Shakespeare. It's jogging your memory by quickly putting memories/events to paper. Listing. Not an essay. A list.

Salome's list would always have lemon meringue pie, be it fresh, soggy or a bit blue with mold on the edges, it still counts, the smell of warm kitten fur plus kitty breath (two list things). My quality list would also have eau doo barnyard, because of childhood memories herding the cows. I still can't pass a farm without smiling if I get that certain whiff. Moo sounds and moo smells can whisk me back to happy and barefoot chores where my dreams were big and full of possibilities. We all have something from way back when that can stir us and bring hope and attract good vibrations once again.

Remember, you will have repeats on your lists because day by day you'll have things pop into your head you liked or love. Still. Or... you may come across something brand new. Write it down. Nothing major, just maybe two or three words. Lemon meringue pie, kitty breath, cow smells, kitty fur, river water smell and sound, slick mossy rocks, moo sounds (notes from my list). Notice I didn't say my first grade boyfriend? We're asking the universe to play along and it knows very well our life had. And, still has, a lot more going on than one person or persons we remember fondly. You're making for 'quality lists', not long lost luv diaries.

Your list will start to bring new opportunities and associations your way. It sounds odd but it is far better than repeating affirmations over and over. What you love, or loved, vibrates to things that like and attract you now. It doesn't have to be a person, it does have to be something that really sparks the happy within you. Homemade pineapple ice cream after running through thick raspberry patches would make my list. I remember the cool ice cream, yummy in my mouth while my little kid legs and arms burned with scratches from branches. Do you remember a hurt or falling off your trike? Remember how good it felt to be hugged and safe after the fact? Note it on your list. It's a good feeling, honest.

Try this for just two weeks, and see if you don't find yourself becoming sharper, more alert and in-tune with luck and opportunities. Finding yourself at the right place, right time, because you made a list and the universe read it and responded is really fun. I promise you will smile and find life smiling back with approval!

Affirmations? They are wonderful and yes, they can and do work. But... your very own 'quality list' of things that make you go WOW is lots easier and really fun. You're going to find out a lot about yourself. More than you realize. Good information. Your souls thrill secrets.

Are you worried about your future? Think you can't do something? Short on ideas? Has your creativity taken a nose dive? Do you wake up with no ideas and fearful? Make your list and see how smart and creative you suddenly become. Impress your friends, your boss, and yourself. I would recommend you don't say much to your friends and family while you do this. It's because it expends energy that could be used to make your list even longer. Mum is the word, save your energy, your emotions and your breath. When it works you for you, then you can teach them how to do this.

Two notebooks, one small, one large and make your lists. Watch the synchronicities and tailor-made luck come out of the woodwork for you. Grokking a you list is easy, fun and you will boost your self-esteem in the process. Why? Because you will remember that life is fun, or can be. You will start to feel like hope is back in your life. Who knows? You might just land a job or new friends, or new love relationship, the likes of which you never dreamed would come your way. All from simply jotting down what it is that moves you.

Two notebooks, one large, one small. Yes, Salome is repeating this. Shamans do this so it sinks in and starts to come second nature to you. This is a great idea but it won't work unless you actually do it. Soooo.......make your Quality Grokking Lists for two weeks and magic will happen. Have fun remembering who you truly are and enjoy this experience. Remember it's free, and it's easy, you can use this whenever you want and it works.
